LANSING, Mich. (WSYM) - Two people from Lansing were in court Friday to face charges they ran a Mid-Michigan dog fighting ring.

47 year-old Corey Henry is charged with more than ten crimes, including animal fighting and animal cruelty. 25 year-old Synquiss Antes is charged with nine counts of dog fighting and one count of having an unlicensed dog.

Since last spring, authorities have seized dozens of dogs in Ingham and Eaton counties. Last month alone, more than 25 pit bulls were taken from three separate homes. Investigators believe they were all part of the same ring.
