Study: Exercise for adolescents is important

There's more evidence showing the importance of exercise for adolescents.

Researchers looked at the exercise habits of more than 300 boys and girls.

Adolescents who were physically active during the growth spurt years, had greater bone mass and strength than those who were sedentary.

Experts say more research is needed to figure out the right balance between exercise and recovery times for growing teens.
