Driver arrested after police chase, crash in East Lansing

A driver is in jail after police say he lead officers on a short pursuit and crashed into several cars in downtown East Lansing Sunday morning.

Around 2 a.m. police took a report of a car that was stolen on Albert Street.

Shortly after, officers on patrol spotted the car on Grand River Avenue.

They tried to pull the driver over but he didn't stop.

Police pursued the driver, who then crashed into multiple cars traveling on Grand River Avenue near the intersection of Abbot Street.

No one was injured in the crash,

Police say alcohol was a factor in the incident, and arrested the driver.
