20-year-old Sierra Newland is concerned for her safety after finding pornographic material on the windshield of her vehicle in a Target Parking lot in Mt Pleasant.

Deputies from the Isabella County Sheriff's Office are investigating, and have reviewed surveillance footage. They say it shows a Silver SUV pull up to Newland's vehicle and place something on the windshield. While the video isn't detailed enough to show specifics, they believe the suspect is male.

Police say this case is similar to an incident from 2013 that occurred in the same Target parking lot. That time a pornographic magazine was left on a vehicle.

Newland posted about her experience on Facebook:

"I apologize for the graphic content but if anyone in the Mount Pleasant area has received anything suspicious on their windshield please do not hesitate to call the cops. Today I came out of target and this was on my windshield. I then called the cops and after watching surveillance videos saw that some older man followed my car into the lot and waited for the car parked next to me leave. After they left he pulled into the spot next to my car and put this on my vehicle, got in the back seat of his car and watched me get into my vehicle." Since Newland shared her experience on social media the Sheriff's Office has and is still receiving several complaints that are of similar experiences. They occurred in other retail store parking lots in that area. They also received a complaint from someone in the Manistee area, and they're working with the Sheriff's Office there to confirm.

The Sheriff's Office notes that so far there has been nothing mentioned about any of the victims being approached by anyone. However, they want to remind people to be alert, and if they find something suspicious on their car they should call 911 or return to the store to get help.
