Another lawsuit against Larry Nassar was filed by attorneys Monday.
This one details the alleged abuse that led to the complaint filed against him in 2014-- the one that MSU investigated and found no violations.
According to court documents, the plaintiff-- a post-baccalaureate student---sought treatment for hip pain in March of 2014. During the 90-minute appointment, she claims Nassar engaged in disturbing and inappropriate sexual conduct--- including asking the resident to leave the room and becoming sexually aroused.
The plaintiff reported Nassar's conduct to MSU Director of Sports Medicine Dr. Jeffrey Kovan a few weeks later. He then reported the conduct to the MSU Office for Inclusion and Intercultural Activities, which was investigated by Kristine M. Moore.
Moore eventually dismissed the plaintiff's complaints, concluding that the plaintiff didn't understand the difference between sexual assault and an appropriate medical procedure and deemed Nassar's conduct was not of a sexual nature.
However, following that investigation--- Nassar was put under new guidelines, ones that he didn't follow-- which led to his termination with MSU late last year.
