A man described by police as a person of interest in the disappearance of a 28-year-old woman last December has been sentenced to 16-35 years in prison for kidnapping and assault in another case.

Floyd Galloway Jr. learned his punishment Friday after earlier pleading guilty in the case involving a jogger in suburban Detroit's Hines Park. Investigators say he attacked her, dragged her into woods and tried to remove her clothes but she escaped.

Authorities found nothing at the park during a July search for Danielle Stislicki of Farmington Hills. The investigation shifted there because of Galloway's arrest.

Police say Galloway knew Stislicki, because he was a security guard where she worked.

Galloway declined to comment before sentencing. His attorney has said Galloway has been wrongfully linked to Stislicki.
