A man from Delta Township has died of his injuries after being hit by a car early Friday.
It happened at the intersection of Waverly and St. Joseph in Delta Township just after 7 a.m.
The Eaton County Sheriff's Office says 77-year-old Donald Debolt Jr. was crossing Waverly when he was hit by a 24-year-old woman from Delta Township.
He was taken to the hospital with critical injuries and later died.
Police say it was dark and raining at the time of the crash and they don't believe speed or alcohol were factors in the crash. The accident remains under investigation.
