Kalamazoo to mark mass shooting anniversary with candlelight vigil

(LANSING, Mi)--To mark the one year anniversary of Kalamazoo mass shooting, the city will hold a vigil to honor the six people killed and two survivors.

25-year-old Tiana Carruthers and 14-year old Abby Kopf survived, but were seriously injured, and are still recovering.

Uber driver Jason Dalton has been charged in the shooting rampage.

Police say on the night of February 20, 2016, Dalton drove around and shot 8 people at random in a span of five hours.

He's currently in jail facing 16 felony charges including: six counts of murder , two counts of intent to commit murder and eight firearm charges.

No trial date has been set, but Dalton is due back in court next month.
