A Jackson man will stand trial for the murder of his girlfriend. A judge ruled Tuesday there's enough evidence to send Troy Calhoun to trial on Open Murder and Felony Firearm charges in the death of Taisha Wright.
Police say Calhoun shot Wright at the Abbey Villas Apartments on Van Buren Street during a fight last August. Wright was on life support for several days after the shooting before she died.
Calhoun faces up to life in prison if convicted. A trial date has not been set at this time.
