WATERLOO TOWNSHIP, Mich. (WSYM) - A young girl is recovering after an accident that left one car submerged in a Waterloo Township lake.
It happened around 11 Friday night near the intersection of Clear Lake Road and Waterloo Road. The Jackson County Sheriff's Office says the driver went off the road and ended up submerged in a lake. That driver fled but police were able to track them down and arrest them. Investigators say alcohol was a factor in the crash.
A neighbor tells FOX 47 News that 4 people were in the car. They say another neighbor called 9-1-1 while another went into the lake and helped get everyone out.
No word on the child's age, she was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
