ESPN and MSU are still locked in a legal battle, this time over whether Michigan State University should pay ESPN $90,000 in legal fees.

Back in 2014 ESPN submitted a Freedom of Information Act for Michigan State to release the names of 300 student athletes in police reports. MSU released the reports but redacted some of the names, prompting a suit from ESPN.

ESPN won the suit and released some of the names, but with the intention of student privacy did not release the names of the victims in the cases.

Now, ESPN is once again suing Michigan State for the court fees in the initial dispute. The University disagrees with the price of the cost, saying since ESPN did not receive all the information they requested, they should not have to pay full price.

A hearing is set to settle the dispute later in February.
