Lansing Police are investigating a car crash that killed a driver and one of his passengers early Saturday morning.
The crash happened just after 2 a.m. in the 500 block of Clemens Ave. Police tell FOX 47 the driver lost control and went off the road hitting multiple trees.
The 35-year-old driver was pronounced dead at the scene. First responders had to extricate the two passengers pinned inside. Both were taken to a local hospital.
A 33-year-old passenger died at the hospital. The other man, 39, is in critical condition.
Police believe speed may have been a factor in the crash, but the cause is still under investigation.
