JACKSON, Mich. (WSYM) - A homicide investigation is underway in the city of Jackson after police discovered a body inside a home.
The body of a 44-year-old woman was found in the 200 block of Orange Street on the city’s east side Sunday morning.
The discovery was made after a 41-year-old man walked into a nearby hospital with an amount of blood on him that wasn’t consistent with his wounds.
Police were called to the hospital around 8 a.m. for a personal welfare check on the man, which then led them to the discovery on Orange Street.
Jackson Police say the suspect and victim knew each other.
No arrests have been made in the case.
Police are not searching for a suspect at this time.
