Jackson County Sheriff's Office Deputies responded to the 1600 block of Devereaux Road in Parma Township for a hit and run crash injuring a 4-year-old male. A vehicle struck the child and fled the scene.
The 4-year-old boy was crossed the road to check the mailbox, and on the way back over the road he was struck by an unknown vehicle traveling west on Devereaux Road. The vehicle left the scene without stopping. The 4 year old was taken to Henry Ford Allegiance Hospital with serious injures.
The only information available about the vehicle is that it was possibly a white vehicle.
The Jackson County Sheriff's Office Accident Investigation team is investigating.
