We have a new warning from the Better Business Bureau, about an old phone scam.  It's the con known as:         "Can you hear me." Click the video player for JoAnne Purtan's report on 7 Action News at Noon.

We reported on the crime a few weeks ago on 7 Action News. Ever since that time,  thousands of people have filed complaints with the better business bureau.  The scammers try and record you saying the word "Yes," and they can use your recorded voice to rip you off, by making small charges on your accounts.

The BBB is advising everyone to:

- Don't answer calls from unknown numbers

- Just hang up the phone.

- Check your bank, credit card and phone bill statements for unauthorized charges.

- Remember, the bad charges could be just a few dollars, so they are easy to overlook

Click the Better Business Bureau link for much more information on the scam and links to other resources.
