The Lansing City Council hasn't seen the full report yet, and some already have questions for the financial health team. They aren't thrilled about some of the short term recommendations, especially cutting police and fire.

Council president Carol Wood said it's important for them to consider what the Mayor, the financial health team, and the public has to say before making any decisions. Wood says: "We are a service. That's what city government is, it's a service to the community. We have to be willing to understand what the public will pay for and what they expect and so that balancing act is something we're going to have to work very hard at."

The financial health team is scheduled to present its report to the city council on Monday night during a committee of the whole meeting.
