Celebrate your Mom this Mother’s Day with a trip to the zoo! Moms are admitted at a reduced price - 50% off the regular admission when accompanied by their children or grandchildren. Binder Park Zoo welcomes Moms of every age on Mother’s Day, May 14th, from 11:00 am to 6:00 pm. Safari with your Mom in Wild Africa, treat her to lunch at Beulah’s restaurant, ride the carousel or maybe even catch a peek at our newest zoo mom and her baby- a wallaby with a joey in her pouch! Don’t forget that Dads will get their chance for the same reduced admission on Father’s Day, June 18th.
If you miss Mother’s Day at the zoo, there’s a still a chance to make good with Mom by enrolling her in the Conservation Canvas painting class held on May 18th from 6:30-9:30pm. Local artist Dee Seymour will guide the class in painting the beautiful and beloved peacocks that roam the zoo. Learn interesting peacock facts while creating your very own masterpiece. Art supplies and refreshments are included in the $45 cost. This class is open to participants age 18 and over. Space is limited.
