So you missed Black Friday? You didn't want to deal with the crowds? Or you shopped, but you failed to get everything?

That's fine, because there are still plenty of great deals to grab the next few weeks.

But at this point, it will really help if you have a sale alert app to find them.

Apps Alert You to Price Drops

Chasing sales this time of year can be confusing: just on one December day, you may find a sale for 20% off everything at the Gap's website, and 30% off at Banana Republic.

But the next day, it's gone.

How can you keep track?  Simple:  With a website or app that alerts you to sales at your favorite stores.

The most popular  include:

Retail Me Not: The lowest prices and coupons for every major store.

Price Grabber:  You set up a price point, and your phone alerts you when a store meets it.

Shop Advisor: Similar to Price Grabber, alerts you to a price rollback.

Red Laser: You scan an item in the store, and it instantly tells you prices for that items in other stores and online.

Slick Deals: Updates on the items you sort through and choose

Brad's Deals:  Also updates you on items you choose.

Doesn't That Stink?

But from the doesn't that stink file, all the stores that  want you to "like" them on Facebook to get deal alerts.

2 or 3 stores is fine, but when you like a dozen or more, your Facebook feed can turn into an endless list of stuff you don't want or need.

Doesn't that stink? That's why deal alert sites can be a better option.

If that sounds like too many, at least load up one of two of them.

And you should have one price comparison app, year round on your phone, so you don't waste your money.
