Red Cedar Run/Walk 5k ~ Habitat for Humanity

The Red Cedar 5K Run/Walk was started in 2010 by a Williamston High School student. A team formed around him to pull off this new community fitness event with these 5 aims:  Encourage fitness for all ages.  Engage more people with Williamston and our Red Cedar Jubilee festival.  Draw together the running community in Williamston.  Develop a fundraiser event for Habitat for Humanity.  Honor a community servant each year. In the 3 years we have done the run/walk, almost half of the participants experienced it as their first 5k!
