8/12-14: Annual St. Johns Mint Festival
It's Mint Festival time in St. Johns, Michigan. White the area farmers will be out harvesting the mint festival attendees will be enjoying shopping, great food, entertainment and lots more.
The 27th Annual Mint Festival begins Friday, August 12 at 2 pm and runs until 8 pm. The festival is also open Saturday, August 13 from 10 am to 7 pm and Sunday, August 14 from 10 am to 5 pm.
All Weekend there's Arts & Crafts, Flea Market, Food, Free Entertainment, .25 Kids Games, Inflatables, train & pony rides, miniature golf, Classic K-9 Dog Shows, Petting Zoo, 4 Sports Tournaments, Quilt Show, New Vehicle & Motorcycle Displays, "Our Town" Photo Contest, Play 1st Mobile Gaming (Play Station, Wii, etc) and much more.
Friday is Senior Citizen Day (2-5), Classic Car Show, Beverage Tent (7 pm-12 am), Hot Air Balloon Life Off (6:30 pm), The Brenda Loomis Band (Country Music) (8 pm).
Saturday is the Grand Mint Parade (10 am), Judged Motorcycle Show (12-4 pm), Chocolate Mint Pudding Eating Contest (2:30 pm), Bocce Ball Tournament (2 pm), Mint Cooking Contest (3 pm), Beverages & Vegas Tent (7 pm - 12 am) and The Oldies But Goodies Band (50s 60s music) (8 pm).
Sunday is the Children's Parade (11:45 am), Kids Days (12-5 pm), Blessing of the Bikes & Ride (1 pm), Bocce Ball Finals (1 pm) and the Peppermint Plop (3 pm).
The St. Johns Mint Festival is held at the St. Johns City Park and Clinton County Fairgrounds between Park & Sickels Streets in St. Johns.
