Struggle Sweetens the Reward
After getting stuck in traffic again, I was "hangry" by the time I got home. Running was the last thing I wanted to do. But, after scarfing down a protein bar, I got my butt out the door.
I definitely "worked it" on Wednesday. I negative split my 3 mile workout on a very hilly route.
My last mile I clocked in a 7:55 min/mi. My total average pace for the entire 3 mile run was 8:14 min/mi.
I am pretty proud of yesterday's run. My legs felt heavy, I was hungry and exhausted, yet I managed to find the strength to push through. The struggle is what makes us stronger.
Tonight I have another 3 miler on my plate. Knowing that tomorrow is a rest day is my motivation for getting it done.
