Loving: Vintage Finds from Bungalow 47 in Williamston
In the Lansing area, I have several go-to spots when I need to find a gift for someone or when I hope to stumble upon something unique and fantastic for my home. Living in Okemos, I often head west and hit up favorites in Old Town like Tallulah's Folly, Grace, and October Moon.
But just this past week I decided to head a few miles east to hit up a Williamston favorite: Bungalow 47, right in downtown on Grand River Avenue.
I can always expect to find something new when I go there, whether it's something fabulous from a flea market or a refinished piece of vintage furniture I wish I had room for in my house.
I needed to find a gift for my sister in law, and right as I entered the store, I saw a row of beautiful picture frames made from vintage ceiling tiles. All of them were different and had amazing textures and colors. I picked out two for my sister in law and one for our house.
I love the vintage quality of these frames and the fact that they all had a lovely photo inside - until I find the perfect photo to put in my frame, I can still have it displayed in my house.
After looking through the shop, I also picked up a Gingerbread Pumpkin candle and Pumpkin Pie potpourri for my sister in law, and couldn't keep myself from buying this shell bowl:
I adore the colors in this Stangl Pottery piece. It goes very well with a gold and Tiffany blue ceramic pheasant I found at Tallulah's Folly a couple of years ago. At $18, I couldn't resist!
Jill Rinner and Chantelle Deimling are the co-owners of Bungalow 47, and both have wonderful taste when it comes to finding special treasures for their store.
I can't wait to visit again soon - it's almost Christmas shopping season!
