As I mourn the loss of the abundance of Honeycrisp apples at our local supermarkets, I've become increasingly excited to see crates of clementines. There's something so satisfying about digging a nail into the peel of a clementine and exposing the perfect little fruit underneath.
There are times when I get disappointed - when there are seeds, or the texture isn't quite right. But our bag of Cuties we bought from Kroger last night has been a perfect batch. The peel comes off easily, the wedges are juicy and just the right taste and texture.
After days of Christmas cookies and other holiday sweets, I know my body is thanking me for reaching for a pair of Cuties after dinner. They make putting up with the winter months worthwhile.
