Chocolate Mold Strawberry Jello Shots

  • Print

After recently exploring some new things on my favorite website, Pinterest of course, I discovered something that I had to share with you all; Strawberry Jello shots in mini chocolate bowls. Now if you’re like me you love anything to do with chocolate and I mean anything! When I discovered this delicious looking treat I couldn't help but share it with you and see what you think. Now I have yet to try it out for myself but judging from the pictures, it looks amazing.

Here is what you need:

1 cup vodka (any vodka you wish to use)

1, 3 oz. box of Strawberry Jello

1 bag chocolate candy melts

(Wilton Dessert Dome Candy Mold)

Step 1:

Follow the instructions on the Wilton Candy molds that you can purchase at any Michaels. Purchase any flavor and color of your choice. I prefer original milk chocolate. Get out a small cupcake pan and start making your molds. Put molds in the freezer for about 5 minutes.

Step 2:

Bring one cup of water to a boil and add Jello. After it comes to a boil and all the Jello is combined, turn off your heat and let it sit until it’s warm.

Step 3:

Add your cup of vodka to the Jello and water then stir. Let it sit until the Jello is room temperature (about 45 min.).

Step 4:

Remove chocolate molds from freezer. Let sit out for 5 minutes, if they are too cold they will crack.

Step 5:

Pour your jello into the bowls very slowly and carefully.

Step 6:

Refrigerate overnight. To make into chunks wait until the jello is set, run a knife under hot water and then you can chop the bowls in half.

I think that the waiting process might be the hardest part about the whole thing. I hate waiting for food, especially when I am starving and it looks so good! I hope that sometime this weekend I can get my hands on these yummy treats and see for myself how good they are!

Thanks to Michelle from for the awesome recipe!

Happy Friday from your chocolate loving intern (:
