"Thank The Troops Picnic", Saturday May 17th, 2008.

There will be a parade starting behind the Grand Ledge Dart Bank on Charlevoix Drive to M-100 (N. Clinton Street) to Jefferson Street downtown and out Jefferson Street to Fitzgerald Park.

The parade will have approximately 180 motorcycles each carrying a custom made coin with a name of one of the 180 soldiers
who have given their life this past year in the name of FREEDOM!

We hope to line the entire parade route with those who support our troops. Bring your flags!

The parade will start when all the bikes are assembled (around 12:30 pm).

If you have never had the privilege to see a BlackHawk helicopter land, up-close, then plan to be at the park by at the latest 1:00 pm.
They will land two aircraft right in the field next to the Picnic Area after the Ceremonies and you will be able to walk right up and talk to the
personnel who fly them as well as many other pieces of equipment they are bringing with them.
But most importantly we will be able to thank them for all that they do to allow us to live our lives with freedom and liberty for all!
